This article specifically addresses the Positive Thinking/ Manifesting paradigm. But, "sanitizing your thoughts" is essentially the same thing as "obsessively micro-managing the monkey-mind," with the same drawbacks. Resting in Divine Union, actively doing what needs to be done while remaining nonattached to the outcome, works great for me. To each their own. He's currently in the process of taking all the necessary 'hits' to the business as early as possible. I'm glad to have had her insight on many different things, more recently on some personal issues that I've discussed with her, and also other life topics discussed in a public forum. What she has to share is very honest and genuine, coming from experience, and I feel there is much enlightened wisdom in the advice she's given me and others. I am always blown away by the depth of her realness, compassion, and knowledge. I've requested two psychic readings with her and have found that she is certainly very good at what she does. They've been very helpful, accurate, and much appreciated. She does an amazing job at combining her skills as a counselor and a psychic, allowing her to give very sound advice. I feel very fortunate to have had the chance to speak with her and get to know her astounding authenticity. I wanted to share this review because Jamie has much to offer, and hope that others may also find value in the help she can give them.

Much Love!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05682054959899589414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1719625071764244044.post-4204977583358040552014-11-08T19:23:10.512-08:002014-11-08T19:23:10.512-08:00December 27, 2012

Jamie's class was so non-threatening, and she was so kind and patient as i began to bend and stretch my "old" body! Yoga has changed my life by giving me energy, flexibility, and great peace in my mind and heart. Several times i have tripped or almost fallen and due to yoga have been able to avert a fall. I thank God every day for Jamie coming into my life.

Cathy C.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1719625071764244044.post-30565479006832949782014-11-08T19:22:30.278-08:002014-11-08T19:22:30.278-08:00December 28, 2012

I met Jamie through a friend, and decided to finally give it a go.

Starting from the very first class, Jamie was very adept at making you feel comfortable and accepted. I found she was excellent at catering to the level and mindset of the student in order to keep them from feeling silly or conspicuous. That had been a large concern of mine.

Jamie's home studio is neat and clean and she spends a great deal of time making it feel welcoming. I would love to see her in an enlarged studio at some point in the future, with the ability to accomodate larger groups of students.

Jamie is a great teacher. I would encourage anyone to try out yoga with her.

Kira B.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1719625071764244044.post-26813483575908141242014-11-08T19:21:36.147-08:002014-11-08T19:21:36.147-08:00December 28, 2012

You're on a hard road, but it's the only road you can go on, isn't it? Reading about some of your travails I have to wonder if you aren't close to tears, and then you get up and dust yourself off and take the next step. Where it leads, well, it's where the light shines most brightly, although the sun neither rises nor sets. You just keep on keeping on. Brave girl! Listen, the journey is not for the faint-hearted, you need pluck, or grit, which you've got. The higher you go, the more it takes out of you. and in the end, it takes everything. Everything.
Not sure I have more to say, let me think on that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1719625071764244044.post-14382757938318006932014-06-04T22:58:02.667-07:002014-06-04T22:58:02.667-07:00p.s. The reason the previous blog post is so out of date is because I recently had to move all my posts over from Quick Blogcast, which is closing down later this month. Meanwhile I had written a couple of new posts, "Spanking the Monkey-Mind" and "Music is For the Rich" while in the process of getting the old posts transferred over. So they are somewhat mixed up. I have gone back and put the dates at the top of the older posts.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00926190160643713538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1719625071764244044.post-2413790674175398042014-06-04T22:23:34.879-07:002014-06-04T22:23:34.879-07:00Thanks so much, Peter! I have no doubt that you are a gifted therapist, and I've been along much of the same road you have, only probably about 20 years before you. However, I'm not "straight." And I've never been much into formal Yoga, that is, Hatha Yoga or asanas. Nor do I think of myself as psychic, even within your very useful and demystified definition. And I may have a somewhat different take on Tantra than you. But all that aside, the real journey is about God-realization, isn't it? And so, if any feedback I can offer you may be helpful to you, or worth considering, or even hearing and brushing aside, I am happy to offer it, for no other purpose than that we are all (as the song goes) "swimming to the other side." Thanks for your comment on my blog www...Hey Jamie,

Thanks for your comment on my blog www.mysticalbeloved.com. I'm returning the favour. I loved reading your story as this kind of narrative is so rare. I'm at the stage you were at when you decided to enter a celibate lifestyle to pursue your love of God. But I am drawn to human companionship as well, so I often feel torn. But you really put your finger on something I've been trying to articulate for a while. I'm simply not interested in being in love with a human being who isn't also in love with God. There is no way to make it work because then the expectation would always be that the human partner is the ideal, the focus on devotion. Like you, I want somebody who is committed to God as their true Beloved and is looking for a earthly companion and ally, to be a partner in devotion.

I had to laugh when you wrote, "The men I liked best were celibate yogis; I loved that they loved God, but unfortunately they didn’t want to share Him with a woman." I have felt the same doubts about ever meeting a man or women to share my life with. At my age (32) it seems like most of the singles I meet are so focused on career and/or having kids that they don't have time for spirituality. I guess, the lesson I take away from reading your story is to just chill out and enjoy my celibacy and the time it allows me to focus on my sadhana. When the time is right, I might meet that special yogi or yogini.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1719625071764244044.post-91728991509663392472014-06-03T14:20:45.912-07:002014-06-03T14:20:45.912-07:00thx, glad you enjoyed it! namaste. <3thx, glad you enjoyed it! namaste. <3Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00926190160643713538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1719625071764244044.post-21606840750385477172014-06-03T11:27:47.117-07:002014-06-03T11:27:47.117-07:00What a lovely storyWhat a lovely storyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
